A friend of mine has family in India and he got us each a 100 day supply of Riomont. This is a generic of Rimonabant made in India.

Does anyone have any information about this brand in particular?

I plan on starting it tomorrow. I am currently about 6' 2" and 315 pounds. I was able to lose about 50 pounds on 2 occasions in the last 10 years in just a few months but I gained it right back. I have tried a few times to diet and exercise in the last couple years but didn't stick with it long enough to lose more than a couple pounds.

I am hoping this will help me to stick with the diet which in turn will help me to stay motivated with exercising.

I have tried the brand you refer to. I did not find it as good as Monaslim but it sure is better than nothing. Gotta get some of "the real thing" and try it. After some months the generics just aren't as effective as I'd like.

How many different brands of 'acomplia' are they making in India. Is Monaslim another Indian version of Acomplia?

I know of Riomont, Monaslim and Slimona. I think each pharma company there makes their own generics and gives them a unique name.

I have only been taking it for 3 days now but I feel it is having an affect. I can't compare it to anything else as far as how much of an affect but I think it's doing something.

I have been using this brand for 2 months and have lost 16 lbs.  The only thing I have noticed is that I don't get hungry and snack throughout the day like I use to.

I have tried this brand and it works OK. I seem to have better results by changing brand every 2-3 months. I don't know why except perhaps the body recognizes different formulations and absorbs them differently.
